Health Care Application Domain

• making the desired clinical information easily available to the appropriate health care professional when and where the information is needed,
• providing usable tools which enable practitioners to develop efficient and effective clinical and administrative decision support applications for patient care, quality improvement and case management,
• providing more usable diagnostic and therapeutic devices to ensure accurate and efficient use by health care professionals,
• providing more usable and supportive assistive devices for patients, and
• improving education and training to health care professionals, patients and the patient's family and/or friends.

You are invited to make a health care-focused submission in all categories available at CHI 98. We encourage all submissions that focus on applying research and application support to HCI challenges and opportunities in health care. Join us at CHI 98 for an opportunity to advance the HCI community through experiences in health care and an opportunity to advance health care through interacting with the HCI community.
